There’s something about Friday the 13th that just invites a little chaos. It's a day wrapped in superstition and weird energy, and this past week, Soup PHL and Dead Bug Collective made sure Philadelphia had somewhere to put it.
With a call for everyone to “turn up as their most expressive selves,” Philadelphia showed up – from jesters and leprechauns to wizards, dragons, and everything in between. Scrimblo, Big Handsome, Sound of Jeb, and Lahnah brought the energy on the music side, with DJs JVW, Snxwdoll, Jiddy, and Obvi keeping things moving late into the night – including a rooftop bug set from Remster that took on a life of its own. What is a bug set, exactly? You had to have been there.
Local creative consultants Nexxus transformed the space into something straight out of a childhood fever dream, and projections from Sideworld kept you on your toes all night.
