When I saw Internet Tears play at Launch Music Conference back in April, I was instantly captivated by their high energy and fun songs. At the time, they had just released “I Want You,” a flirty song that was perfect for the start of summer. The band have now returned with a new single, “Feels Like Summer,” and it’s every bit as flirty, catchy, and fun.
“‘Feels Like Summer’ is not just about how the season makes you feel audibly, but it gives you the feeling of love, compassion, and connection between loved ones during the warm months. It’s about how summer love can parallel the feeling you get from the season and the feeling you get from intimate connection,” shares Daniel Louis, the band’s lead singer and songwriter, about the song.
Internet Tears have a knack for highlighting the joy in life, and “Feels Like Summer” is no different. Their nostalgic-pop sound is infused with hints of punk and rock, creating a fresh sound that is certain to appeal to fans new and old.
The band have undergone a lineup change since their last release, now consisting of Daniel Louis on vocals, Zack Apuzzo on drums, Esteban Rivera on guitar, and their newest addition, Mikey Feliciano, on bass. If you haven’t yet, check out my interview with Daniel, Zack, and Esteban here! And don’t forget to check out the music video for “Feels Like Summer.” Directed by Louis and shot on 8mm film, the video adds a vintage touch to the song. Watch it below!
