Been Stellar Share Catchy New Single “Always On My Mind”

New York City rockers Been Stellar have dropped another summer track, “Always On My Mind.” Not to be confused with the classic ballad of the same name, the track channels the band’s signature mix of catharsis and infectious hooks.

Following the releases of “Adored” and “Breakaway,” the single arrives alongside the announcement of their upcoming EP, due this fall. The new material builds on last year’s acclaimed debut album Scream From New York, NY, while marking a new chapter for the band, who have been touring steadily and underwent a lineup change earlier in the year.

“We were really drawn to the circular logic of the lyric: ‘I need you, I want you because you’re always on my mind,’” shares vocalist Sam Slocum about the new track. “My favorite love songs can be read a few different ways. I think it’s great when there’s a tinge of sadness or anxiety –  it just feels more accurate to me.”

Been Stellar’s Breakaway EP will contain all three singles, in addition to an acoustic version of “Adored.” It’s set to be released on September 22 via Dirty Hit.
