A Night of Glitter, Go-Go Boots, and Music: Trousdale at Fine Line

Trousdale brought the sparkle, soul, and sisterhood to Minneapolis on their Growing Pains Tour stop at Fine Line Music Café. The crowd dressed accordingly, as glittery outfits, metallic fringe, and go-go boots straight out of a '60s time capsule filled the room. The crowd was dressed to impress, giving the night a fun, nostalgic vibe with a modern twist.
The night kicked off with a unique and honestly refreshing twist: a rotating opener situation featuring Beane, Nia Ashleigh, and Buff Chick performing as a trio. It wasn’t a typical opener-then-headliner setup. Instead, it felt like a mini supergroup where each artist brought their own style, blending seamlessly with the others. Their chemistry was so natural, you’d never guess they weren’t a band.
Trousdale, the Los Angeles based trio made up of Quinn D’Andrea, Georgia Greene, and Lauren Jones, opened with “Lonely Night” and had everyone swaying and singing along. Their harmonies were tight, their banter was warm, and their crowd interactions felt like talking to an old friend. At one point, they joked about a moment from earlier in the tour when one of them accidentally let out a loud belch on stage. The way they told the story had the whole crowd laughing their heads off. It’s that kind of down-to-earth humor that makes their shows feel so personal and fun.
About halfway through the set, Trousdale took a moment to talk about how they met in college and started making music together. Hearing those stories made songs like “Growing Pains” and “Any Day Now” feel more meaningful. It’s clear this tour means a lot to them. It’s not just about the music, but their journey as friends too.
Highlights from the night included “Point Your Finger,” which turned the place into a full-on dance party, and “Sleeping at the Wheel,” where their harmonies were so smooth it gave you chills. It was clear the audience had several Wicked fans in attendance because Trousdale's rendition of “What Is This Feeling? / Popular / For Good / Defying Gravity” left the audience singing every lyric.
Trousdale is a band you won’t want to miss. With their chemistry, talent, and genuine connection to the crowd, it’s clear they’re on the rise. I’m excited to see what’s next for them.
