Minneapolis’ Varsity Theater was pure electricity as Silent Planet and Invent Animate brought
their Bloom in Heaven Part II tour to life. From the first note, the crowd was unstoppable; moshing, crowd surfing, and forming wall after wall of death that captured everything you could want from a metal show and more.
Both bands gave everything they had on stage, connecting with fans and creating an energy
that filled the entire venue. During Invent Animate’s set, Garrett Russell of Silent Planet came
out for “All The Light Is Gone,” while guitarist Mitchell Stark joined for “Armageddon Eyes.” The crossover moments between the two bands made the night feel even more special, perfectly reflecting the collaboration behind their new EP.
My personal favorite moment was when Garrett Russell opened up about his mental health
journey, encouraging fans to stay strong and reminding everyone they’re not alone. It takes a lot of courage to open up about struggles with mental health, but the crowd responded with overwhelming support, cheering him on and showing just how much his words meant to them.
Fans were shouting, jumping, and chanting “one more song” well past the end of the set. This kind of night reminds you why live music matters. There are still a few dates left on the tour, so if you’ve been debating catching a show, this is your sign.
